Yusen Logistics Group Achieves ISO 31512 Certification for Cold Chain Logistics Services in Malaysia and Vietnam

The Yusen Logistics Group is pleased to announce that our overseas group companies, TASCO Yusen Gold Cold Sdn. Bhd. (TYGC) and Yusen Logistics (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. (YLVN), have obtained certification for the international standard ISO 31512:2024 — Cold chain logistics services in the Business to Business (B to B) sector — for their temperature-controlled food storage and transportation services.

Yusen Logistics has contributed to the development of ISO 31512, the world’s first international standard for cold chain logistics services, issued in December 2024. We participated as a domestic deliberation committee member and strategic committee member, helping to formulate the requirements and negotiate with participating countries.
The Yusen Logistics Group is globally expanding its cold chain logistics services. TYGC, a subsidiary of TASCO BERHAD, has played a leading role in this effort. In 2022, TYGC became the first logistics company to obtain the Japanese cold chain logistics service standard JSA-S1004:2020, demonstrating its commitment to high-quality service.
YLVN, anticipating strong growth in demand for frozen and refrigerated foods and livestock products in Vietnam, opened a dedicated cold storage warehouse for food in the suburbs of Ho Chi Minh City in January 2025. With this initiative, YLVN has begun providing international-standard cold chain logistics services to local and foreign investors in food sector.

In this context, TYGC obtained ISO 31512 certification in August, becoming the first company outside Japan, followed by YLVN in September. With these two group companies now certified, Yusen Logistics is able to offer even safer and more reliable food logistics services, to meet the growing demand from consumers who are looking for safe food.

Upon certification, Mr. Tomoyuki Fukuhara, Senior Manager of the Transport and Logistics Department at ClassNK (Nippon Kaiji Kyokai), shared a congratulatory message with TYGC and YLVN:

We conducted document reviews, on-site inspections, and management system audits for both companies, confirming that all requirements were met.
